Easy roasted turkey in 2.5 hours, perfect!

That screen shot above is from my phone–our holiday recipes are all digital so you have them in your pocket when shopping and planning. Even so I decided to print out my grocery list for you so you can go to the store and quickly buy everything you need.

Here is your shopping list for making our turkey, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, make-ahead potatoes, biscuits, 2 pumpkin pies, and 2 pecan pies. If you are hosting a gluten free thanksgiving these recipes are likely what you will want to have control over. Your guests can bring the beverages, salads and vegetables.

Grocery Shopping List for Thanksgiving Recipes

(If quantity is not noted in grocery list you need less than a tablespoon.)

This is what I am cooking this year:

Turkey, Gravy, & Stuffing

12-14 lb. turkey (get one that is all natural- no injections)

4 medium yellow or white onions

2 carrots

1 bunch celery

Bunch fresh thyme

Bunch fresh parsley

3-32 oz boxes chicken stock

1/4 cup sweet rice flour or cornstarch

1 pound seasoned ground sausage (the one time in the year we go for Jimmy Dean)

1 Granny Smith apple

Poultry seasoning

1/2 loaf GF bread, Udi’s whole grain is a good one for this

1 cup hazelnuts (Trader Joe’s sells them already toasted and skinned)

Salt and pepper

 

For various recipes you will need:

3 pounds salted butter

 

Cranberry Orange Sauce

12 oz fresh cranberries

3/4 cup dried cherries

2/3 cup brown sugar

Ground cinnamon

Whole cloves

Canola oil

One orange

 

Make-ahead Mashed Potatoes

5 pounds russet potatoes

8 oz cream cheese

8 oz half and half

Onion powder

Salt

Seasoning salt

 

Flour mix

Be prepared for baked goods with about 5 cups of the Multi Blend flour mix on hand.  For that buy and mix together thoroughly:

4 1/2 cups brown rice flour

1 1/2 cups sweet rice flour

1 2/3 cups tapioca starch flour

1/2 + 1/3 cups potato starch flour

 

Biscuits, 2 Pumpkin Pies, 2 Pecan Pies

4 cups millet or sorghum flour

2 cups oat flour

2 cups buttermilk

Guar gum or xanthan gum

Baking powder

Baking soda

5 cups sugar

16 eggs

1/2 cup cider vinegar

2 cups light corn syrup

2 cups pecans (while or halves)

29 oz pure pumpkin

Ground cloves

Allspice

Ginger

Vanilla

2 1/2 cups evaporated milk
