BlogHer Food 2012
I am finally going to a blogger conference.
Even though I have been involved in the gluten free world as a cookbook author/instructor since 2000 and before that on the board of the Gluten Intolerance Group —-I was late to the blogging party ….very late.
I took a two year hiatus from my book, the GF conference circuit, and teaching during 2008/2009 when blogging took off and when I came back blogging had changed everything. Today everywhere you turn someone has started a GF blog and this allows for greater awareness and MORE GLUTEN FREE FOOD everywhere.
My dream is in the process of coming true for my kids —they can eat well just about anywhere—still a few more years of innovation and broad scale reach are needed but we are well on our way to finding that GF nirvana.
BlogHer Food is in my hometown (Seattle) and my simple goal these next few days is to connect with other bloggers, learn what they are doing, figure out what I can do to improve, and laugh out loud. It should be a good place for laughter–everyone will undoubtedly be happy visiting our gorgeous city and leaving behind normal duties.
It will be fun to meet those living in a parallel universe to mine!
