A Gluten-Free Thanksgiving

by Karen on November 21st, 2010

It is all here now, everything you need for a gluten free Thanksgiving.

Just keep scrolling down the page to see every recipe.

Might I tempt you with a creamy, cheesy, potato casserole? It is full of everything that we love.

Need a great recipe for cream soup?  You can add sauteed mushrooms and it becomes cream of mushroom soup.

Next we have some pan roasted Brussels sprouts that are so delicious they end up as snacks as people pass through the kitchen.

Let’s skip right to dessert– we have two pumpkin pies– one that is gluten free and another that is free of gluten, eggs and dairy and still terrific!  This week I am baking a mixed berry pie with Kate McDermott, she is known in these parts for her excellent wheat crusted pies but now that she is gluten free we are sharing our wealth of knowledge with each other.

Next up is turkey and giblet gravy with a no fail recipe from Cook’s Illustrated magazine.

Love it….. will never use another turkey recipe again.

New this year is a Hazelnut Sausage Stuffing.  New because I am using Udi bread and hazelnuts instead of chestnuts.  That post is followed by some Thanksgiving tips for the newly diagnosed.

And finally…….drum roll please….

Buttermilk Biscuits

Tomorrow I am making Buttermilk Biscuit dough to freeze for the big day—- for those of you who want it  I will email that recipe to you right away when you buy the digital book since you will need it to have the best Thanksgiving ever.

And if you are looking for a good cranberry dish try this one at Tea and Cookies.
